Your Own Cloud, on Your Own Ground: When a Private Cloud Makes Sense
Public cloud is convenient — until your data must stay in-country or your internet goes down. A private cloud gives you the convenience without the exposure. Here is how to decide.

"Move it to the cloud" has become the default advice for every IT question. For many organisations it is good advice. For some, it quietly creates new problems: data stored in another country, systems that stop when the internet does, and monthly bills priced in dollars.
A private cloud is the alternative: the convenience of the cloud, running on hardware you own, in a building you control.
Signs you need one
- Your data must stay in-country — regulation, contracts or simple prudence require it.
- Your connection is not guaranteed — and your systems cannot stop when it drops.
- You run many systems on a scatter of old PCs and servers that nobody fully understands.
- Your cloud bill keeps rising with your usage and the exchange rate.
What a private cloud gives you
- Virtual servers — run every system you depend on, each isolated and easy to restore.
- File storage — one secure, organised home for the documents your staff currently email around.
- Backups that are tested, not assumed — on-site, with copies off-site.
- Room to grow — add capacity without rebuilding.
It also runs our own platforms. DocBox, for instance, works fully on-premises and offline, so your document management can live inside your private cloud.
It is only as good as the network under it
A private cloud sits on your office network, so we design the two together: structured cabling, switching, enterprise Wi-Fi, firewalls, VPNs for branches and remote staff — and, if you need them, CCTV and door access on the same managed network.
How we work
- Site survey — we look at your building, your systems and your data.
- Design — a plan sized for today with room for tomorrow, in plain language.
- Install — rack, power, cooling, cabling and configuration done properly.
- Monitor — 24/7 monitoring and managed support under a clear agreement.
